About
My path through school was unconventional, and it shaped how I think about learning. More on my Substack.
Off the clock I’m into anything outdoors, filmmaking, art, travel, and gaming.
I’m a researcher, storyteller, and neo-pedagogist interested in how people learn.
I was a good student, but traditional school never really worked for me. After bouncing between public, charter, and private schools, I discovered independent study, where I could finally learn at my own pace. I dual enrolled in college, finished ninth grade in about a month, and eventually tested out of high school at 17.
That experience changed the way I thought about education. It made me realize there isn’t one right way to learn, but not everyone has access to the environments, tools, or information that help them figure out what works for them.
I’ve been curious about how we learn ever since.
Off the clock I’m into anything outdoors, filmmaking, art, travel, and gaming.
Current inquiry
How does learning change when “intelligence” is everywhere?
I’m interested in how AI, technology, culture, and new models of education are changing what we learn, how we learn, and what it means to be educated.

Schoolhaus is an applied research practice. It explores what next-generation learning experiences could look like, working across four lenses. Learning science, technology, environment, and culture.
There’s been some exciting work so far, but it’s early. More soon.
